Synopsis
Doi Boy tells of the struggles of Shan migrant workers in Chiang Mai who are forced by circumstance to become entangled in a dark underworld.
On Netflix 24 November
“Doi Boy”, directed by Nontawat Numbenchapol and produced by #NeramitnungFilm, was selected for its World Premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea and is in competition for the Kim Jiseok Award, which honours outstanding Asian films of the year (named in tribute to Kim Jiseok, the festival programmer who championed Asian cinema to the world). The festival runs from 4 to 13 October 2023.
