A Blistering Mission! Rebel Wilson & Anna Camp Team Up for Explosive Action in ‘Bride Hard’

Neramitnung Film and Shinesaeng Ad.Venture kick off a hilarious action mission in “Bride Hard” get ready to meet Rebel Wilson who takes you into the world of spy comedy in Bride Hard, reuniting once again with her former Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp. The film is directed by Simon West, a veteran of legendary action films such as The Expendables 2 and Con Air.

The reunion of Wilson and Camp this time excites fans who loved their chemistry in Pitch Perfect, and with direction from Simon West, the fun and challenging action sequences are sure to be something fans won’t want to miss.

In Bride Hard, Wilson plays Sam, a spy who must serve as maid of honor at her best friend’s lavish wedding. But when a group of mercenaries storm the wedding and take the guests hostage, the mission becomes an even tougher fight — Sam must dodge bullets and protect this spectacular wedding, all without revealing her identity as a spy.

Part of what makes Bride Hard so compelling is watching Rebel Wilson perform action scenes alongside director Simon West, known for legendary action films such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Con Air, and The Mechanic, which made this shoot full of fun.

“It was so much fun getting to kick some butt — or really, just pretending to kick,” said Wilson, adding that learning the fight choreography for the action scenes was like learning dance moves, requiring a great deal of precision in training.

But what made Rebel Wilson proudest as an action performer was the scene where she throws a knife into the air, spins, and catches it again — and another scene where she uses a hair clip as a nunchaku (a Japanese martial arts weapon).

However, the film Bride Hard also became a project that sent Rebel Wilson to the hospital, due to an accident that happened during the final hours of filming.

“While we were filming, I kept thinking, oh, I’m so lucky — no injuries at all so far, just some sore muscles. But on the last night, a gun accidentally struck me in the face at 3am, during the filming of the final scene.”

Beyond Wilson’s role reversal, the film also features an array of top-tier actors, such as Justin Hartley, from This Is Us, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar winner for The Holdovers , blending comedy and action in a way like nothing else, expected to have audiences laughing while on the edge of their seats in every scene.
