“Nicolas Cage” Pours Himself Into “DREAM SCENARIO,” Praises Director Kristoffer and Calls the Script the Best Yet

Neramitnung Film and Shinesaeng Ad.Venture unveil the dream man in the dark-comedy film “DREAM SCENARIO: Tonight, Dream of Me”, the latest work from A24, directed and written by Kristoffer Borgli, produced by Ari Aster. It marks a new film for Nicolas Cage, who has earned the highest score on Rotten Tomatoes across a 42-year career (www.rottentomatoes.com).

Nicolas Cage plays Professor Paul Matthews, an ordinary man struggling to cope with sudden, unexpected fame. Thanks to his fierce dedication to bringing the role to life in a way that keeps audiences hooked and entertained, he has fully inhabited character after character, impressing viewers time and again in films such as Leaving Las Vegas (1995), Face/Off (1997), and PIG (2021).

“This is the best film script I’ve ever read, and I believe I gave one of my finest performances — it might turn out to be the best film I’ve ever made. DREAM SCENARIO made me understand why we should let the talent of a new generation of filmmakers shine, instead of just waiting around for someone already famous to take the wheel. I’m thrilled to have had the chance to work with a young filmmaker, and I think Kristoffer has already created his finest work yet.”

As soon as Nicolas finished reading the script, he contacted Ari Aster right away and told him he understood the character completely.

“I feel like I’ve lived that kind of life, which helped me get into Paul’s character — being a public figure, and someone who has been through both the highest highs and the lowest lows, which I already understand well. People know a lot about my story, and this role was like a huge ship that required memory, experience, and emotion to bring to life.”

DREAM SCENARIO opens 14 December in theaters.Watch the trailer at www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M12RNmmRrQ
