“Buranaphon” Has Arrived!!! “Jee” Sheds His Warm ‘Microwave Guy' Image to Play “Rok,” the Fierce Gang Leader in “4 Kings II (2023)”

Having won the hearts of fans everywhere with his warm, easygoing charm as a leading man in a hit drama — rocketing him to hot-guy status in no time — handsome actor Jee Suttirak Sapwichit now proves his acting range once again, transforming into the fierce vocational-school gang leader “Rok Buranaphon” in the big-budget film “4 Kings II (2023)”, the latest work from “Neramitnung Film” together with “Shinesaeng Ad.Venture” directed by Phut Phutthiphong Nakthong. Jee admits he spent a great deal of time studying the character in detail together with the director

Jee Suttirak said, “Rok Buranaphon is a character that let me do all kinds of things — he's got dimension and so many layers to draw from. Being a vocational-school kid, there's action and fighting too, but at the same time he's got a dramatic side, with family problems. He's one person at home, another person with his friends, and yet another when he's with his rivals

And in this instalment, Rok also steps up to become the leader of the Buranaphon side too. When I got the script, I talked with director Phut about how it should be. Normally, my process is — whenever I get a character, I plant the seed of that character within myself, and then see

how it grows within that character. I look for whatever parts of it are close to who I am and expand on those, and if something's missing, I go and explore the character's world to see what's missing, and figure out how he should be and how he thinks and feels,”

“I'll admit the role of ‘Rok' was tough, because almost every scene in this story has to hit an important beat — which means if we don't reach that beat, the scene might not work at all, so we had to make sure we got there. As for whether 4 Kings (2021) was successful enough that I had to take the lead role in 4 Kings II (2023) — was I under pressure? Yes, at first I was, but later on I realised I just needed to focus on what was in front of me and do my best, and enjoy it — that's enough. As for the charm of 4 Kings II (2023), it's a coming-of-age story told through the lens of vocational-school kids of the 90s.
