Peter, Paula, War and Nina Lead the Taklee Genesis Cast at a Spectacular Gala Premiere, Warping Across Dimensions — In Cinemas Today

Neramitnung Film has teamed up with Warner Bros. Thailand for a grand launch of this year’s most spectacular film, Taklee Genesis, with a Black Carpet walk led by executives Tanthai Narongkul, Chairman of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Kanokwan Watchara, CEO of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Henry Tran, General Manager of Warner Bros. Thailand, followed by Mudee-Chookiat Sakveerakul, the director, Paula Taylor, and Peter Corp Dyrendal, Wanarat Rasameerat, Natcha Jessica Padovan, Phutharit Phrombandan, Nara Thepnupha, Phusita Watthanakornkaew and Inthira Charoenpura, at Quartier CineArt.

The event was also honored by Sueksit Srichomkwan, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, Theerapa Pairoharkul, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, Waritchai Watcharaprapa, advisor to the Minister of Culture, Chantra Phongsri, Managing Director of Foodstar Co., Ltd., Kan Patiwetphinyo, Brand Manager of Omega, Phanu Aree, Chief International Distribution Officer of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Monai Tharasak, Chief Production Officer of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Chaiwat Mingmai, CEO of Shinesaeng Ad.Venture Co., Ltd., Sitthichai Talabnak, Director of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., and Natthakritta Kunsirithanakorn, Director of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., who came up for a commemorative photo.

Directors, actors and idol artists also turned out for the event, including Paween Purijitpanya, Chakri Chaipreecha, Pitch-Wishawit Hiranwongkul, Nine-Phatnarin Muenrit, Khamin-Manipha Rupanya, Panda-Jidapa Chamchoi, Kong-Phakin Kittikananurak, Pea-Peerawich Ploynampol, Bonz-Nadol Lamprasert, Yin-Anan Wong, Prom-Ratchaphat Worasan, Mark-Siwat Jumlongkul, Ne-Netipat Laksanawisit and Tang-Chindit Wiangwiset.

The event was filled with warmth, opening with a performance of “Holy Bird (Remix)” by the artist Commuan Trainee, and the song “Kid Thueng Baan” (better known as “Duean Phen”), the film’s main theme song, performed by Baseball of the band Sue Khrong, known for the hit “Rot Khong Len.” The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the trailer together with the Taklee Genesis cast, and the director talking about the atmosphere on set at the time, when everyone poured everything into this sci-fi action-adventure film — bringing every viewer the grandest, most spectacular and most ambitious experience Mudee has directed in his 20-year career.

Taklee Genesis is the story set during the Vietnam War: the American military built a large communications station at Ramasun Camp, said to be a site for testing faster-than-light travel, under the project name Taklee Genesis.

Stella (Paula Taylor), a single mother whose life is at a turning point, receives a call from Ith (Peter Corp Dyrendal), her childhood friend, asking her to come back and take care of Duangporn (Jenjira Widner), her seriously ill mother, in Don Hai village — the place she left as a child, carrying terrible memories of having witnessed her father’s mysterious disappearance in the forbidden forest, though no one ever believed her. Thirty years later, Stella returns home with Valen (Nina-Natcha Jessica Padovan), her daughter who is trying to prove herself to her mother. In Don Hai, Stella also meets Chamnun (Phutharit Phrombandan), the community leader, and Kong (War-Wanarat Rasameerat), his son — both of whom, incredibly, look no different than they did 30 years ago.
