“Neramitnung Film” Secures Thai Rights to “Ransomed”

Get ready for an exciting new international film after “Neramitnung Film” secured the rights from Showbox, a South Korean film distribution and production company and one of the largest film distributors in South Korea, to bring the film Ransomed to audiences in Thailand

Ransomed is the latest big-budget Korean action-drama, from Kim Seong-hun, director of the hit series Kingdom, starring Ha Jung-woo of Narco-Saints and Ju Ji-hoon, known for his work in Kingdom

The film tells a story inspired by real events in 1986, during the civil war in Lebanon: a Korean diplomat was taken hostage and vanished without a trace. Two years later, a young Korean diplomat, “Min-jun,” played by Ha Jung-woo, is contacted and proves the hostage taken is still alive

Follow the thrilling hostage-rescue mission soon in theatres. It has also been reported that South Korea's Showbox has sold the rights to Ransomed to Hong Kong and Macau (Edko Films), Taiwan (MovieCloud), the Philippines (Viva Networks), Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar (Neramitnung Film), and Vietnam (Lumix Media)
