Neramitnung Film Visits Ramasun Camp, Retracing Taklee Genesis to Promote Thai Tourism

Neramitnung Film, together with the Udon Thani Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, visited the Ramasun Camp History Museum in Udon Thani province, the filming location for Taklee Genesis, to help promote Thailand’s tourism image and boost the Thai economy. The delegation was led by Kanokwan Watchara, CEO of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Monai Tharasak, Chief Production Officer of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Thitaree Pimphrat, Senior Professional-Level Policy and Plan Analyst of the Udon Thani Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, representing the Udon Thani provincial governor, and Capt. Phatthana Seemuet, Intelligence Officer of the 1st Infantry Battalion, 13th Infantry Regiment, seconded as Assistant Civil Affairs Officer of the 1st Infantry Battalion, 13th Infantry Regiment.

Kanokwan Watchara, CEO of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., revealed that Taklee Genesis is a story of traveling across millions of years, embellished with imagination, built around the question, “What would happen if an experimental time-control machine were built at Ramasun Camp?” It draws on scientific and historical information that director Mudee-Chookiat and the production team researched together.

Ramasun Camp, the film’s main location, is the starting point of the entire story, and it is hoped that “more tourists will come to visit, and that Thailand’s soft-power culture will reach film audiences’ eyes, sparking film-location tourism.”

The delegation also traveled to Kham Chanod, a tourist site, to pay respects to the sacred spirits there before heading back.

Taklee Genesis is now showing in cinemas nationwide, in standard, Dolby Atmos and IMAX formats.
