A Star-Studded Premiere Shakes the Cinema: ‘In Youth We Trust’ Steps Into the World Behind Bars — Rave Reviews Pour In Right After Screening

The wait is over. Neramitnung Film, Shinesaeng Ad.Venture and Kam-Kap-Nang held the launch event for this year’s most talked-about Thai film, In Youth We Trust, on the evening of 27 November 2024 at Major Cineplex Ratchayothin, with the full lead cast in attendance, led by Nat Kitjarit, Arak Amornsupasiri, Ittinan Pungkiatrasami, Phumipat Thavornsiri, Tossapol Maisuk, Benjamin Joseph Varney and Arunpong Naraphan, along with Aratchaporn Pokinphakorn, Saengthong Ketuthong and Sahatchai Chumrum, together with Phutthiphong Nakthong, the film’s director. Together they brought this major work, distilled from great dedication and determination, presenting another side of young inmates’ lives behind bars — conveying the full range of the human experience, from pain to friendship to the struggle to keep breathing for as long as possible, through outstanding performances and firm direction.

The event was attended by Tanthai Narongkul, Chairman of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Kanokwan Watchara, CEO of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., Chaiwat Mingmai, CEO of Shinesaeng Ad.Venture Co., Ltd., Natthakritta Kunsirithanakorn, Director of Neramitnung Film Co., Ltd., and Wichai Kulthawatchai, Marketing Director of Major Cineplex Group PCL, who together officially launched the film. The event was also supported by the Bai Ho brand, represented by Isara Akkapracha, Managing Director of Marketing at Bai Ho Pharmacy Co., Ltd., and Soda Rock Mountain, who together helped put on this event.

The event also drew a large number of celebrities, including Ong-art Jiamjareonpornkul, Suttirak Subvijitr, Chartchai Chinsri, Thiti Srinuan, Sirat Intarachot, Inthira Charoenpura, Chanon Santinatorn, Apinya Sakuncharoensuk, Nantawut Boonrubsub of the band TAITOSMITH and more, who came out in force to witness the story of the world behind bars in In Youth We Trust at Thailand’s first screening — a packed, lively event. It closed with a surprise: the premiere of the music video for “The Last Prison,” another one of the film’s theme songs by Laem Sompol, shown to guests for the very first time.

And as soon as the press screening ended, the first wave of audience reviews hailed In Youth We Trust as a huge leap forward in direction for Phutthiphong Nakthong, and one of the best Thai films of the year, with lead performances so outstanding that audiences believed completely in the characters.
